Selection Process
The selection process for SSC MTS / Havaldar Recruitment 2025 typically involves the following stages:
- Computer Based Examination (CBE) – Paper I: This will be an online objective-type examination.
- Session-I: Numerical and Mathematical Ability, and Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. (No negative marking)
- Session-II: General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. (Negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST): (Only for Havaldar posts) This is a qualifying stage to assess physical fitness.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of all original documents.

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): MTS are responsible for general cleanliness and upkeep of the Section/Unit, physical maintenance of records, carrying files and other papers within the building, photocopying, sending FAX, assisting in routine office work (including on computer), delivery of dak (outside the building), watch and ward duties, opening and closing of rooms, cleaning of rooms, dusting of furniture, cleaning of buildings, fixtures, etc. They might also perform work related to ITI qualifications or driving vehicles if they possess a valid license.
